    PROGRESSION

    WEEK 1 (03/04/2023):
Today, the first class of Collaborative Design Project, which is lectured by Ms. Lilian. We were tasked on to be on a group of aprox. 5 people. Ms. Lilian created some breakout rooms, which later we moved on any one of them to join the group. When everyone went to Group 1 and 2, I decided to went to group 3 :D, so I met Shofwa, Metta, and Wai Fern, and also Haura. Then we formed a group and named the group as Blister Bunch with Shofwa as the leader, since I guess she has a good leadership and management.

Ms. Lilian explained on the timeline. First task is to create an Empathy Map and Defining The Problem Statements. We created a MIRO Board and discussed there.

We started on the research. Our research is basically conducted using Qualitative Methodology, by using past research to understand more about the ideas. We dumped out some findings we have on MIRO.

Then proceed on choose which one is needed and which one we should remove, and thus, we decided to use these.

    After that, we proceed on making some Empathy Map to help determine the problem statements. The empathy map we use is basically the standard one, the usual one I experience on doing it on UI/UX Classes, which consisted as; Says,see - Thinks - Does - Feels. Then we brought down and filled on the columns as follow;

After defining those 2 points, research and empathy maps, we defined our problem statements, by creating some problem questions to help on defining the final problem statements:
    • How can we make people aware of the environmental impact of inhalers and blister packaging through our art?
    • How can we reduce medical waste and educate the public about medical waste?
    • How to encourage Malaysians to give back their unused medical packaging (inhalers, blister packs etc) through our art?
From those three questions we used as the guidelines, we created the problem statements:
    fig 2.4, Problem Statements, Week 1 (03/04/2023)

After that, we proceed on looking some references to be used as the guidelines/ main idea for us to work on, so we come up with 2 different major things:
    1. The Land
    fig 2.5, Reference (Land), Week 1 (03/04/2023)

    2. The Sea
    fig 2.6, Reference (Ocean), Week 1 (03/04/2023)

Also, we began on creating the presentation slides. Also, we got a new member, Shayor.

For the presentation slides, me, Haura and Wai Fern are tasked to design, while the rest do the sketches, since most of them are Entertainment Design Student. I helped creating some assets and designed the cover:

    WEEK 2 (10/04/2023):
The next session is divided into each sessions per group, so we got assessed per groups. On this week, we were feedback about our presentation slides, thus, feedbacks can be seen on [feedbacks].

From the feedback, we know that we need to fix on our empathy map. We decided to create a specific an expanded users as follows:

    WEEK 3 (17/04/2023):
We did our presentation. For our submission on Task 1 (that day midnight), we need to do more about our user persona, based on the feedback. We conducted a group meeting, which we discussed on the User Personas. We define how many target users we are on.

      REFLECTION

      EXPERIENCE:
I experienced on working with team members. Communication isn't really my thing, but I did try my best as I can to contribute and support my group. Working around for task 1 with them is an interesting experience I had, even I sometimes feel like we did too many meetings but not much output, but I guess as everyone started to settle in with the group, everything is doing awesome and I really looking forward to work with them to create the sculpture in physical classes.

      OBSERVATION
I observed that wastes can be turned into an interesting art installations. Through the reference looking process me and my group mates did, I observe that most of the art installation didn't require specific materials/ expensive materials to be powerful enough to deliver the messages. It's all just about the concept.

      FINDINGS
This module attracted my interest more about medical wastes, mostly on blister packs. I didn't realize that blister packagings really a part of dangerous wastes out there. I just thought it's just a small thing and even it's only one (mine) it won't really affect on with the environment, but I was wrong!
